During a hotel stay, you may often need to make requests such as “Could I have another towel?” or “Do you have a hairdryer?”
Being able to express these requests simply in French will make communication with hotel staff much smoother.
Here, I will introduce the basic expressions used when asking about or requesting hotel amenities, along with explanations of their grammatical structure.

1. Asking “Do you have 〜?”
In hotels, a common way to ask whether something is available is with the phrase: “Est-ce que vous avez 〜?” (Do you have 〜?)
- Est-ce que vous avez une serviette supplémentaire ?
(Do you have an extra towel?)
For items that are not counted individually, such as savon（soap）or shampoing（shampoo）, partitive articles (du / de la) are used.
- Est-ce que vous avez un oreiller supplémentaire ?

2. Expressions for “extra” or “another”
Requests in hotels often involve asking for “another towel” or “an extra pillow.”

Using these appropriately makes your requests sound more natural.
